Small Georgian Plain Lighting Cornice

Design & Profile

The Georgian Lighting cornice 88x105mm is a small profile designed to introduce a clear architectural line within modest and medium rooms. Formed around a simple Georgian arrangement featuring a smooth upper transition and defined lower edge, the profile sits further onto the ceiling than the wall, giving the room a tidy, proportioned outline. This small Georgian style coving, often referred to as cornice, includes a modified top edge developed to compliment wall-mounted LEDs. When offset from the ceiling and paired with LEDs, the profile produces a soft upward wash of light that subtly highlights its clean geometry.

Georgian Influence

This LED coving reflects the understated refinement characteristic of Georgian interiors. The uncomplicated shaping offers a stable visual boundary without unnecessary ornament, making it well suited to interiors seeking calm structure. Even without lighting, the profile creates gentle shadowing that reinforces the room’s proportions. When lighting is introduced, the detailing gains clarity, allowing the profile to sit comfortably in both traditionally influenced rooms and modern spaces that favour quiet classical elements. Its modest size helps maintain balance within smaller or lower-ceilinged interiors.

Craftsmanship & Material

Each length of the Georgian Lighting cornice 88x105mm is produced in fibrous plaster at our workshop in. Traditional casting ensures the lines and shaping remain consistent along the run whilst forming a dependable coving for LED lights. The fibrous plaster construction ensures reliable stability once installed and decorated, aligning with expectations within the coving for led lights category. The modified top edge is cast as part of the profile, helping achieve the clean shadow line associated with lighting-led design schemes.

Suitability

This cornice led profile is suitable for cinema rooms, games rooms, gyms, media rooms and modern kitchens where ambient lighting plays an important visual role. The Georgian Lighting cornice 88x105mm supports coving for led lights by offering a defined architectural base that enhances atmosphere without overwhelming the space. Its restrained classical styling and compact proportions enable it to blend easily with a wide range of interior approaches while maintaining the refined aesthetic associated with British Mouldings’ plasterwork.
