Tuscan Lighting Cornice

Design & Profile

The Georgian style Lighting cornice 105x145mm is a medium profile designed to introduce a structured architectural line within modest and medium rooms. Formed with a traditional Georgian arrangement featuring a clear drip detail and refined transitions, the profile sits further down the wall than the ceiling to create a composed and well-defined outline. This medium Georgian style coving profile, traditionally known as cornice, includes a modified top edge developed to compliment wall-mounted LEDs. When offset from the ceiling and paired with LEDs, the profile can produce an upward wash of light that highlights the drip detail while adding a calm sense of ambience to the room.

Georgian Influence

This LED coving reflects the measured, classically inspired geometry associated with Georgian decorative work. The clear drip detail helps establish a strong architectural rhythm, providing light shadowing even without the use of lighting. When lighting is introduced, the steps and edges take on additional depth, supporting interiors where structured order and traditional proportion are central. The restrained style allows the profile to sit comfortably within both historically influenced rooms and contemporary spaces seeking quiet classical character.

Craftsmanship & Material

Every length of the Georgian style Lighting cornice 105x145mm is produced in fibrous plaster at our workshop in Norfolk. Traditional casting methods ensure the drip feature and surrounding lines remain consistent along the run whilst forming a functional coving for LED lights. Fibrous plaster provides reliable stability once installed and decorated, supporting the clarity expected within the coving for led lights category. The modified top edge is cast integrally to maintain cohesion across the profile while helping create the crisp shadow line associated with lighting-led interiors.

Suitability

This cornice led profile works well in cinema rooms, games rooms, gyms, media rooms and modern kitchens where ambient lighting plays an important role in the scheme. The Georgian style Lighting cornice 105x145mm supports coving for led lights by providing a structured architectural base that enhances atmosphere without overwhelming the room. Its measured proportions and classic Georgian detailing allow it to complement both modern and period-inspired interiors while preserving the refined qualities associated with British Mouldings’ plasterwork.
