The Victorian Lighting cornice 170x160mm is a large profile designed to bring a strong architectural presence to medium and large rooms. Defined by a generous cove and clear feature lines, the profile extends further onto the ceiling than the wall, creating a confident upper border with well-balanced proportions. This large victorian coving profile, often referred to as cornice, includes a modified top edge developed to comliment wall-mounted LEDs. When the profile is installed with a slight offset from the ceiling and paired with LEDs, it can produce a broad upward wash of light that enhances both the cove and the shadow lines, contributing to a refined sense of atmosphere.

Craftsmanship & Material

Every length of the Victorian Lighting cornice 170x160mm is produced in fibrous plaster at our workshop in Norfolk. Traditional casting methods ensure the cove and feature lines remain consistent along the run whilst forming a reliable coving for LED lights. The fibrous plaster construction provides long-term stability and maintains the crispness of the detailing once decorated. The modified top edge is cast as part of the profile, supporting the clean shadow line associated with lighting-led interior schemes while keeping the design cohesive.
